Example: 6/9 is a proper fraction and you can divide both numbers by 3 to finish with 2/3
B) Improper Fraction (numerator > denominator) - take the numerator divided by the denominator
Example: 9/4 is an improper fraction so you divide 9 by 4 to finish with 2 1/4 (2 wholes and 1/4 left over)
2) Please complete the Home Study Packet pg. 17 "Dividing Fractions." If you need help, you can also look over Big Ideas Math E-book pgs. 64-66.

docs.google.com/document/d/1paiXDBlqbJNBfj3Lb0GNM7IPgi6iR6p4aavAEuRQGEQ/edit?usp=sharing
*There is one mistake on the answer key. The correct simplified answer to #4 is 2/5 (not 2/15).
2) There is no new math assignment today. Just make sure you completed yesterday's assignment. Many of you also haven't completed last week's Big Ideas Math assignments. Remember, I am marking them completed in PowerSchool.

1) Watch the first 3 minutes and 53 seconds of the following video to remind you how to divide by a fraction:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lkq3DgvmJo
*Do your best simplifying your answers. Remember, there are two types of fractions to simplify:
A) Proper Fraction (numerator < denominator) - divide both numerator and denominator by the same factor (number)
**Answer Key will be posted tomorrow
Friday, May 1st
